The NFC picture entering 2025 feels more wide open than its AFC counterpart. A few dominant teams sit at the top, but there’s uncertainty and potential shakeup in nearly every division. Here’s a full look at how oddsmakers view each NFC team going into the new season.
NFC North
Chicago Bears (11.5 wins) — After a major leap in 2024, the Bears enter 2025 with major expectations. They boast one of the conference’s most complete rosters and a defense that continues to improve.
Detroit Lions (9.5 wins) — Detroit remains firmly in the mix, but this year’s number suggests some regression is expected after last season’s strong finish.
Green Bay Packers (7.5 wins) — A middle-of-the-pack total signals mixed faith in Green Bay’s development, especially as they continue retooling their offense.
Minnesota Vikings (6.5 wins) — Minnesota’s window appears to be closing, with uncertainty at quarterback and major questions on defense dragging down the outlook.
NFC East
Philadelphia Eagles (10.5 wins) — The Eagles are still seen as a top-tier NFC team, thanks to elite talent at key positions and one of the best offensive lines in football.
New York Giants (7.5 wins) — There’s still belief in Brian Daboll’s ability to get the most out of his roster, but the Giants remain a step behind in overall talent.
Dallas Cowboys (6.5 wins) — A big drop in expectations after a rough finish in 2024. Dallas enters 2025 trying to reset on both sides of the ball.
Washington Commanders (5.5 wins) — With a new regime in place, Washington’s low total reflects a rebuilding year and major long-term focus.
NFC South
Carolina Panthers (10.5 wins) — Coming off a 15-win season, Carolina remains one of the most dangerous teams in the conference with a loaded defense and physical identity.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8.5 wins) — Tampa Bay still has a solid core but takes a step back in projections as the division around them gets stronger.
New Orleans Saints (7.5 wins) — New Orleans continues to hover in that mid-tier zone, with solid veteran pieces but limited upside compared to other NFC contenders.
Atlanta Falcons (6.5 wins) — The Falcons will need a breakout year to surpass this number. A young team with upside, but few proven results to date.
NFC West
Arizona Cardinals (11.5 wins) — One of the biggest surprises from last season, Arizona has emerged as a legitimate NFC contender with elite playmakers on both sides of the ball.
San Francisco 49ers (9.5 wins) — Still one of the NFC’s top rosters, but with some age and roster turnover, they aren’t quite the juggernaut they once were.
Seattle Seahawks (7.5 wins) — Seattle enters the year in a bit of a transition phase, but their defensive ceiling and offensive versatility still give them a shot.
Los Angeles Rams (5.5 wins) — The Rams continue their rebuild, with a young core in development and expectations understandably limited heading into 2025.
There’s no runaway favorite in the NFC this year. The Bears, Cardinals, and Panthers headline the conference with double-digit expectations, but the middle tier is crowded. With quarterback questions, new coaching staffs, and young defenses across the board, the NFC feels like the most unpredictable it’s been in years. This will be a season where depth and health decide everything.
